Glad to be home

I have been in Houston for the last five days for work and I am so very glad to be home. I don't know why anyone would want to live there.

The conference we were having was at the Westin Galleria which is inside the Galleria mall, but I never really left the hotel. I did make a run to Baby Gap so I could bring Hayden a present home! I missed him terribly!

I am exhausted because I couldn't sleep the whole time I was there. Partly because I was away from Hayden and Garrett and partly because my room was right next to the elevator and I could hear it ding every time someone got off.

In other news, Hayden is developing quite a little personality and he is always making us laugh. My mom told me something she heard..."A mother is only as happy as her least happy child." Well, my only child is very happy and so that makes me very happy! He says "mama", "dada" and "nah nah". He calls me "nah nah" a lot of the time. His ears were draining last week, but that is what they're supposed to do instead of getting infected. The good news is that was the first time since he got his tubes on December 1 that he has had any trouble with his ears! That may not seem like a long time if your baby doesn't get a lot of ear infections, but trust me...that is a long time. His four top teeth are coming in, but who knows when they'll actually break through.

Garrett and I are doing "The Love Dare" from the Fireproof movie and we have really enjoyed it. We keep hearing stories of people losing their jobs and we are so thankful we have jobs right now! We are adjusting to our new life here though sometimes we wish we could just move to the country and get away from it all.

That's all I have for now...nothing too exciting. Going to take a nap!
