Update on H

Hayden had a follow-up appointment yesterday for his breathing. He has been coughing the last few days, but the Pulmicort treatments have kept him from wheezing which is good. Dr. Patil wants him to go three full months without wheezing before we can stop the routine breathing treatments and just do them as needed.

His ears looked great and that is always good to hear because it seems that it rarely happens!

I showed pictures of his rash to her and told her that they diagnosed it at the med clinic as a viral rash and she was surprised. She said that it wasn't a viral rash, but allergic. He wouldn't have responded to the Prednisone if it was viral because viral rashes or any other viral illness for that matter has to just run its course. Within six hours after taking the Prednisone the rash was already going away.

She thinks the rash and the cough are related as a reaction to whatever he's allergic to...which is still yet to be determined. I asked the daycare if he went outside or did anything different, but I didn't get much help there.

He weighed 24.4 lbs. and showed Dr. Patil all his tricks. She is so awesome and really interested in his care. We never feel rushed and she never makes me feel dumb.

We are going to San Angelo tonight and then I'll be going to Dallas with my mom, Connie and Christi to look at wedding dresses. So fun!
