We survived another week at the Jost household.
Hayden had a great week and has been feeling great. We take things day by day around here, but I hope that it continues! He had his one year well check on Tuesday and that went very well.
- His ears look good...keep your fingers crossed.
- He weighs about 24 lbs. He lost some weight from being sick and he's burning more calories. He is 31 inches tall.
- He is walking all over the place and has discovered all kinds of new things to get into. He tries to pull door handles, kitchen drawers, etc. and pulls things down from the bathroom counter. No need for me to workout...he IS my workout.
- He has six teeth, four on top and two on bottom and I can see more coming.
- He has three meals and two snacks a day and eats like a horse. He can eat adult sized portions and then some if I would let him. He can eat a whole sandwich, a whole chicken breast...the list goes on. I love to watch him chew as he savors every last bite. He does spare a few bites to feed to Lady sometimes. They are buddies.
- There's really only two times when he's grumpy...when's he's hungry or tired.
- He sleeps wonderfully the majority of the time and I am so thankful for that.
- His hips did not have any "clicking" on Tuesday. (He had hip dysplasia when he was born so this is great!) He had his follow-up liver ultrasound (for fetal liver calcification) on Friday and everything looked normal. Yay for good reports!
Garrett had his back surgery on Wednesday and all went well. He had a "big huge" disc herniation in the doctor's words. He is recovering nicely and is glad to have some relief from the pain. He goes back to the doctor in a week.
I must get some sleep now. Have a great week!
