Weekend Recap

We had a fabulous weekend with the fam. My mom and my grandparents came Saturday morning to watch my cousins' basketball tournament and we all went to dinner after the games Saturday night.

And no, this isn't all of them. I LOVE my big family!

And this is Thomas. He is Wyatt's and we got to babysit him on Saturday night. Isn't he the cutest puppy you've ever seen?! Even if he is chewing on my shoe. :)

And last, but certainly not least the boys won the basketball tournament! The championship game was intense and I'm glad we were there to see it. These boys are good!

In other news, I have really been struggling with Hayden's daycare situation. I really liked the one he was going to when we first moved here, but when we bought our house and moved south, he had to switch because it is way too far. After the move, the first one lacked structure and cleanliness. The second one was going okay for a few days until I stopped by one day and I witnessed the teacher acting less than professional. I'll just leave it at that because it makes me mad just thinking about it.

So, I am sad to say that he started at daycare number three today. This probably makes me sound crazy, but when it comes to my child's care, this is not an area where I'm willing to sacrifice. I do think, however, that the third time will be a charm! We met with the teacher last week and she is so sweet and soft spoken. She also has a bachelor's degree. Why does this matter? Well, because she could go do something else and make more money, but she does this because she loves kids and she wants to be there. Even better, there is a video camera in his room and I can go to the web site while I'm at work and watch him! I also added my mom so she can watch him whenever she wants which is awesome since she doesn't live here. So anytime I started missing him today, I just logged in and watched him for a little while and I couldn't help but smile.

I felt a huge weight off my shoulders today. This is something I've been praying about for a long time. This daycare is significantly higher, but you get what you pay for and I am willing to pay top dollar to have peace of mind and know that he is being well taken care of.
