We had Hayden's dedication at church yesterday. We have wanted to do this for a while, but the timing was off at our previous church and our new church when we were in the process of moving last year and we weren't able to make either one.
It was a beautiful service and a very special moment.
Granna, Sassy, Scott and Christi came for the special day and we had a wonderful time! The music at our church is amazing and was even more so yesterday. There is something about 2,000 people singing O Holy Night...absolutely beautiful.
We were also able to meet some really great people yesterday. One of the minsters and his wife prayed over our family and they were precious people. We met another couple that has three children and they live in our neighborhood! Because the church is so big, it is sometimes hard to meet people so we are excited about making new connections.
Each child received the Jesus Storybook Bible and a letter from the pastor. The letter is for Garrett and I to keep until the day Hayden makes the decision for Jesus to be his Savior. It talks about how we brought him before the church and promised to raise him in a Godly home and the whole church prayed over him. I pray for the day when we can give him this letter!
After church we went to eat some excellent barbecue and did a little more shopping. I don't think my feet have forgiven me yet.
Pictures from the weekend...and the infamous green dress that I will no longer be wearing!
