We Can All H.E.L.P.

Our missional community group had a garage sale this morning to benefit HELP - Help End Local Poverty. HELP is an organization dedicated to ending extreme poverty by rescuing orphans. They are currently trying to raise money to build orphanages and you can read more about Garage Sale for Orphans here.

It was so fun and humbling to do this because I look at my two boys everyday and see how much they are loved and know that all of their needs are met. My prayer is that all children would be able to feel this kind of security.

It is so simple to reach out to others even if you don't have the financial means to do so. We all donated items today and are giving everything we made to HELP and it didn't cost us a penny. We even had fun while we were at it! We have nine kids combined so that is always entertaining and exhausting.

 We wanted to get the kids involved by doing a bake sale, but we might need to have a sales meeting Monday because they were a little distracted!

It was a great time with great friends, but now it's nap time...wishful thinking!
