Tuesday Tidbits

Never a dull moment around here! I just wanted to note a few things before I forget. I can't remember an entire month's worth of stuff when it all happens so fast!

Hudson
- A couple of weeks ago, he moved up to 6-9 month clothes for the most part and size 2 diapers.
- He is smiling all the time now and really thinking about laughing.
- If I put him on his tummy and leave the room, he is usually on his back when I return.
- I think his eyes are turning green or hazel which will fit right in with the rest of the family.
- He likes to grab and hold onto things now and his eyes follow Hayden wherever he goes.
- He really smiles when Hayden talks to him. I love watching the two of them together!
- I don't dare say that he is sleeping through the night for fear of jinxing it, but I think we are close. He sleeps 6-8 hours at night.
- He is more content during the day and has spaced his feedings to every 3-4 hours.
- He moved into his crib in his very own room and sleeps much better in there.
- He loves music. I'm going to have to get him an ipod. Ha! As long as he has music and a blanket, he's usually a happy guy!
- He has to be the only baby I know that doesn't love stroller rides. I'm not sure why this is, but he is not a huge fan. I can't quite figure it out.

Bright eyed

He sucks his tongue in his sleep and it is precious

Snoozing on Daddy

No telling what kind of crazy noise I was making to get him to smile

I could just eat up that squishy little face.
And please don't be jealous of the side ponytail I'm rockin' in this pic.

Still LOVES bath time

Hayden is such a silly little man. He is ornery and can throw fits with the best of them, but he has the sweetest little personality.  His daycare teachers used to tell me that he was very empathetic toward other kids and he still is. He loves to play and gets so excited when there's other kids to play with. He is going to start preschool a couple of days a week in the fall and I'm hoping he will enjoy playing with other kids his age because right now he doesn't really have any friends his age and he gets stuck being the odd man out.  He can't wait for Hudson to get big enough to play with and I can't either. I hope they become great friends and always look out for each other.

I think it is safe to say that he is fully potty trained, including night time. He has been waking up dry for a while now. I think I'm going to stop using pull-ups at night and see what happens.

I love the way little people talk. Here's some of my current favorites:
- "dat's otay mama" (that's okay mama)
- "ah-wight" (alright)
- "wight der" (right there)
- "Cheesus" (Jesus)
- "reddy, set, doh" (ready, set, go)
- "bruh-wer" (brother)
- "pone" (phone)
- "strah-betty" (strawberry)
- "ess nam" (yes ma'am)
- "Kisti" (Christi)
- When he says his prayers, he puts his hands together and his favorite part is "tank you - daddy" and "tank-you pawpaw" (thank you for daddy and pawpaw is what he means). I'm not sure where Hudson and I fit into the picture?? If you ask him about Jesus, he points to the sky and says "Cheesus, where'd he doh?" (Jesus, where'd he go?) We'll get to that one buddy. He understands that Jesus lives in the "sky", and we're teaching him that he also lives in your heart, but he hasn't quite figured out why he can't see him.

"Fixing" my hair while I'm trying to work

He loves to help me out with the laundry. If only he could fold it...
