Weekend Festivities

I need to catch up on July 4th weekend.

We went to San Angelo for the long weekend and as always had a great time filled with family, friends and food!

Hayden ready for a flood as we were leaving on Friday

On Saturday, I helped Lauren get things ready for Race's big arrival. I can't wait to meet the little guy and I reminisced as we folded and hung all of his clothes, many of which I gave her. I can't believe my baby is already big enough to be passing his clothes down to his cousin. :(

Testing out Race's swing. Apparently it works.

We took Hayden to see his very first movie Saturday afternoon. We went to see Toy Story 3 and he did really well. He talked about Buzz nonstop and Granna bought him a Buzz action figure that is now his new favorite toy. Buzz goes swimming, eats chicken strips and drinks apple juice, takes baths, flies through the house and sleeps on Hayden's pillow.

We celebrated my nephew's birthday at Red Lobster on Saturday night. I had crab legs for the first time. I decided to give it a try because I've always had a weird thing about those creepy looking legs and the fact that you have to work so dang hard to get to the crab meat. I do not like to have to work that hard for my food. It was quite tasty though!

Sunday was a pretty laid back day. We took the boys for a walk, visited with Garrett's dad and Gretchen and I went to see Carrie, Crista and Cyndi, some dear friends of mine that I do not get to see near enough. We have been trying to get together for a long time, but it is so crazy every time we go to San Angelo. I'm glad I was finally able to see them! Hayden played with Cyndi's little girl, Kaylee. Her girls were precious and Hayden ran around like a crazy person. Is that just a boy thing? That child wears.me.out. I didn't get any pictures because I was too busy chasing him around.

We hung out at my parent's house Sunday night, but Hayden fell asleep before the fireworks so we let him play with some sparklers on Monday.

Mom, Jill and I got up early Monday morning to drive back here to drop Jill off at volleyball camp. This is her first camp and I got a little teary eyed when I took her down to meet her group. How am I ever going to let my boys go off to college?

This makes me feel really old.

My mom has been here all week. Jill's volleyball camp is over tomorrow and then we have Christi's baby shower on Saturday. Work is still crazy right now so it has been an eventful week. Hudson has his four month well check at 11 tomorrow and Hayden has a pulmonologist appointment at 12:30 and they are on opposite ends of town. Garrett and I will be splitting up to get it all done. Never a dull moment around here!

 Just hangin' out

Look at those chunky thighs. His, not mine.

Oh, and the floor is finished! It turned out great. I will post pics sometime in the near future.

More to come soon.
