Eight Months Old

Somebody is eight months old!

Growth:
- I'm not sure how much you weigh, but you are almost 28 inches tall.
- Wear 12-18 month clothes and size 4 shoe.
- No new teeth, you still have six.

On the Menu:
- You are most definitely a good eater! 
- You had YoBaby yogurt for the first time a couple of days ago and continue to eat everything I make.
- I'm mixing up foods now and you have had most of the fruits and vegetables that you can have right now and we also added quinoa to the menu.
- You LOVE your Happy Baby green puffs - if you only knew that they had spinach and collard greens.
- I have been giving you small bites of things on your tray and you attack them like it's your last meal. I love to watch you pick them up and watch your facial expressions while you chew.
- You eat three "meals" a day and nurse in between.
- Just recently, you started saying "mmmmm" after every bite.
- When you're done you turn up your nose and shake your head.

Sleep:
- You sleep from 8-7 on average.
- Two naps a day, but your naps are less predictable. Hayden is the opposite, his naps are very predictable and his nights not as much so this makes for an interesting dynamic.

What's happenin'?

- You are seriously like a little vacuum and pick EVERYTHING up off the floor and put it in your mouth.
- Daddy calls you my little koala bear because you wrap your arms and legs around me when I'm carrying you.
- You stand for long periods and let go to get from one piece of furniture to the next.
- You walk while pushing toys with wheels.
- You are fascinated with doors and will sit in the floor and open and close them over and over.
- You are figuring out what buttons to push to make your toys work and it is funny to watch your reaction.
- You are quite the snuggle bug.
- You are a super sweet, laid-back baby for the most part.

Favorite Things:
- You love tags, keys, my cell phone cover, remotes, phones and door stoppers.
- After having your noise machine for months, I have discovered that the ocean setting is your favorite.
- You love taking baths with Hayden and chasing him around the house with your super fast crawl. You get so excited and light up when he plays with you.

Not-So-Favorite Things:
- Getting in the carseat.
- Diaper changes. I feel like I have wrestled a 90 lb. gorilla when I get done changing you.

It has always amazed me to watch babies turn into little people. He is growing and developing so much and I'm glad I have a front row seat!
