Flu Blues

Hayden was running fever on Wednesday when I picked him up from KDO and laid around the rest of the afternoon which is very unlike him so I took him to the doctor Thursday morning. He is sick all the time, but doesn't usually run fever and it doesn't usually slow him down so I knew something was up.

Flu. He has the stinkin' flu. Garrett and I have never had the flu in 28 years and Hayden has been lucky enough to skip it the last two years, but not this time. :( That poor kid is just going to catch everything I guess. Other than going to KDO 10 hours a week and to church, he isn't around other people very much. I can't keep him in a bubble. We caught it soon enough that she put him on Tamiflu and Garrett and I are taking it to try to avoid getting it. Hudson is too young to take it and we are just hoping that it doesn't spread. I have been cleaning and washing and disinfecting and sanitizing like a mad woman the last few days. Too bad it takes someone in this house having the flu for me to do that. Ha!

Our pediatrician says a lot of people that had the flu vaccine are still getting it. We were there at 9:30 in the morning and Hayden was her fourth confirmed case. So beware!

The weather has been beautiful here the last few days and we have been stuck in this house. We did drive around yesterday to get out of the house and Hayden felt well enough to play in the back yard for a few minutes. It is supposed to get really cold next week and I wish we didn't have to waste this great weather, but I just want everyone to be well!

Since I don't have any exciting adventures to tell about, here's some pics of my sweet boys.

This is actually from the other day, but it is probably one of my all time favorite photos. I love my babies with their daddy.

You like that dirty glass door don't you? I can send him over if you're going for the same look.

Pure sweetness with a little bit of ornery mixed in.

I think he might be tall...but I have no idea where he got that from.

I just love how he sits on his little feet all the time.

Nothing better than enjoying a snack on Sunday afternoon in your skivvies.

I left this photo untouched. No edits I could make would do this sweet face justice.

Poor guy. His beautiful brown eyes look so sad and he got scratched by another little boy at KDO the other day. He obviously enjoyed his snack though!
