Just wanted to note a few things Hayden says so I don't forget.
"I want chicken lips."
Translation: I want chicken strips. It makes me laugh every time.
When I was getting him ready for KDO the other day I asked him if he wanted to go chapel and he said "I don't wanna sing songs." I asked him why not and he said "I just pray" meaning he's okay with the praying, just not the singing part. Ha! Well, that would explain the non-participation in the Thanksgiving and Christmas programs.
Today, he walked up out of nowhere and pulled up his pants as high as he could and said "I a dork."
He likes to tattle on me when he gets in trouble and he tells my mom or Garrett or whoever will listen "Mommy said no-no."
After telling him that if he didn't stop misbehaving in Target he was going to get a spanking, he said "I don't want spankings anymore." Well, I don't want to give you one either and I really try not to, so you should listen and we can both be happy. Deal?
He tells me numerous times a day that he wants to talk to Granna on the "puter". He likes to Skype with her and now we Face Time since I got a new phone for Christmas!
Speaking of the "puter", he is quite tech savvy. He knows how to operate the mouse on my computer and maneuvers my iPhone better than I can. He has mastered all levels of Angry Birds. He figured out the Wii pretty much on his own and now all I have to do is turn it on and he knows exactly what to do from there. He even knows when to put the remote down to calibrate. Amazing. (This makes it sound like he is glued to the phone or the TV all the time, but I do put a limit on how much time he can spend doing these things each day.)
He remembers things that I thought he would surely forget especially the location of places. He is constantly telling me where to turn and which way to go to get to certain places. Talk about a backseat driver1
