The boys' had their Christmas program at KDO on Wednesday. I did not have high expectations based on previous experiences, but they both did really well. They both saw Granna and really just wanted to sit with her, but after a little bribing they continued. Hudson was a sheep and even though Garrett and I had to sit up there with him most of the time, he didn't cry and even smiled and waved and rang his jingle bells. Hayden was supposed to be a shepherd, but one of the wisemen decided he didn't want to be a wiseman that morning so Hayden took his place. He still didn't sing any of the songs, but he stood nicely on the stage and took his gift, myrrh, to baby Jesus when he was supposed to. He is very shy, so the fact that he walked to the front of the stage to do this is definitely an improvement!
I am so proud of both of them and even though a preschool play is crazy crying, singing chaos, there is nothing more beautiful than watching the Christmas story through the eyes of children.
Thanks to Pinterest, we made some homemade gifts for their teachers and classmates.
We made white chocolate and powdered sugar covered pretzels, chex cereal and M&Ms. It was yummy!
I really loved these! It is an M&M nativity story and there are M&Ms in the bags.
Giving his gift for baby Jesus.
The three wisemen.
