Christmas 2011 - Ashley Family

We went to church with my Memaw on Christmas Eve and then hung out at my parents' house. I read the story of Jesus' birth to Hayden from his Jesus Storybook bible and talked to him about why we were celebrating and why we exchange gifts. They both got A LOT of presents from our families, I can't deny that, but I tried to do my best to bring meaning to it all. It breaks my heart to think of those who have so little when we have so much. I don't want to simply ignore that fact which brings me to something else I need to write about. I just finished a great book about this!

The boys slept unusually late Christmas morning and we let them open a couple of presents when they came downstairs.

We had Christmas with my family later that morning before heading to Garrett's dad's that evening. It was a busy day!

There are way too many pictures, but I'm mostly sharing so family can see and for scrapbooking purposes because this is as close as I'll ever get to it. More to come later.

All of the grandkids minus the one due in May! My mom just started plopping them down and we were able to get a picture without any screaming. Look at all of those boys!
