Harley's "Cute as a Button" First Birthday Party

We had Harley's party Memorial Day weekend and it was a great time celebrating our sweet girl with family and friends. I haven't really had a chance to slow down and process the fact that she is one, or perhaps I am in denial.

She is such a joy, our blue eyed beauty with the constant smile and the scrunchy nose. I couldn't love her any more.

For her party, I wanted something cute and special, but not crazy expensive and with Mom's help we achieved that. Most of this was pulled together the week or two before the party because that's how I roll.

Everything other than the food was borrowed or we made it to save costs. I already had some of the things from my prop stash like the fabric banner also. That's the way to go! I am not a huge fan of DIY projects, but these were kind of fun, quite simple and very inexpensive.

The cakes were made by Becky's Celebration Cakes in San Angelo and I cannot say enough great things about them. The petit fours were melt-in-your-mouth amazing!

We decided to just make it a Memorial Day celebration also since we would all be together with plenty of activities for the kids. They had so much fun and were worn completely out by the end of the night.

And now for the pictures, LOTS of pictures. I narrowed them down as much as I could and then Blogger jacked them up, but I've spent the better part of the day messing with it and I'm over it.

Enjoy!

These were mine as a little girl.

Peach tea and pink lemonade

It is safe to say she LOVED her cake!
She loves her new baby dolls and this shopping cart! She drives that thing around everywhere.

A little bike/trike racing after the party.

Happy First Birthday, Harley Paige! I think these pictures show just how much you are loved. What a fun day!
