Garden

The boys helped Garrett plant the garden last week. They really just liked playing in the dirt, but he tried to teach them a little while they were doing it. We planted a smaller one than last year and moved it to the other side of the yard. We're hoping for better luck this year.

 Like father, like son.

And now we wait for tomatoes, squash, zucchinni, onions, green beans, peppers, carrots and cucumbers for pickles.

The garden is growing like crazy! We had a little problem with roly polies trying to eat everything, but hopefully it is under control now. Who knew those little suckers could do so much damage.

Cucumbers (for pickles), green beans, squash and the last row is an assortment of strawberries, garlic, jalapenos, tomatoes and cilantro.

Jalapenos

I can't wait to eat these strawberries!

Sprouting

Things are sprouting all around here.

We planted the garden a week ago and it is already starting to grow!

I love going outside everyday and checking to see how much they've grown.

A baby strawberry. I didn't know this would be so much fun!

This sweet boy is eight weeks old today and he is definitely sprouting. I love watching them grow, but sometimes I wish I could just bottle them up and keep them right where they are.

Hudson and Granna

Granna and Sassy in Hayden's playhouse, only there's no room for Hayden. Ha!

Hayden had a lot of fun playing outside this weekend. His personality continues to "sprout" and the things he says and does have us laughing constantly.

My mom's birthday was last Tuesday so we had a late birthday/early Mother's Day celebration for her.

It was another wonderful weekend with great friends and family!

Weekend Projects

Garrett and Hayden were quite busy this weekend! We are loving the warm weather and trying to enjoy it before it gets too hot.

We now have a garden with cucumbers, squash, green beans, jalapenos, strawberries, tomatoes and garlic.

Checking things out...probably looking for bugs

Strawberry plants! My only request.

And now we wait...

My parents went in with us to get Hayden a wooden playhouse for his birthday. I found it online for a really great price and the shipping was free. They delivered it in a box on a palate in our driveway and when Garrett opened it, it was in about 100 pieces to be assembled. He spent about seven hours, yes seven, putting it together. Maybe that would explain the great price...

Such a good helper

The finished product!

It is really cool and Hayden loves it! We had our missional community group over last night and he got to play in it with all of his friends. We are going to move it to the corner of the yard where the shade is and add a few finishing touches.
