We stayed up late last night getting things ready and pricing. We had intentions of getting up at 6 this morning to finish up and put everything out in the driveway. Well, I woke up and looked at the clock at 6:45! Oops. We looked out our window and there were already people out. We hurried and got dressed and scrambled to get everything ready for our first customers that were already waiting. Keep in mind that it was advertised as 8 a.m. - 11 a.m....not 7 a.m. people!
It was over at 11 and it started raining at 11:15 so it worked out perfect. It was actually nice that it was cloudy because it wasn't too hot.
We are very pleased with our earnings. We made $833!! We had a table and chairs that Garrett made and we sold that for $450 and then all sorts of other smaller things. We were not expecting to make that much so it was a nice surprise. And, we got to clean out our garage in the meantime. It was very messy from the move.
Garage sales are a lot of work, but it was definitely worth it! This picture was taken at about 7:45 and we had already sold a lot of what we put out. It was crazy!
We are now resting and watching the pouring rain. It is supposed to rain most of the day and I am looking forward to a lazy Saturday!
