SURPRISE!

For now anyway.

I went to the doctor on Monday and I asked the ultrasound tech not to tell us what it was. She wrote it down and put it in a sealed envelope. Christi has the envelope because Garrett wants to know really bad and I don't know if he could resist the urge to open it. My mom asks me every time I call if I've opened it and I'm calling to tell her what it is. I think it is fun not knowing and I would love to keep it that way, but I don't know if my mom and Garrett can stand it.

How far along? 22 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 22 lbs.
Blood pressure: 122/78
Symptoms: nothing new
Sleep:  we've been in bed by 9:00 every night this week...love it!
Best moment this week: seeing this sweet baby's profile on the ultrasound!
Movement: I've been saying that I thought the baby was breech because a lot of the movement is down low and sure enough he/she is. There is still plenty of time to turn.
Baby's Heartrate: 148 bpm
Food cravings: nothing to note
Gender: still TBD :) This is fun!
Belly Button in or out? it is almost flat
What I miss: sleeping on my back
What I am looking forward to: Courtney's baby shower this weekend.

Weekly Wisdom: Check to make sure the toilet seat is down before you sit. "I've fallen and I can't get up" has a whole new meaning when you're pregnant and stuck in the toilet.
Milestones: Baby weighs about 1 lb. and everything looked perfect on the ultrasound! This is such a blessing and we are so very thankful!
