Two Months Old

Hudson Wade, you are two months old today!

Fun facts at two months:

- Your smile lights up the room. You smile the most in the mornings and it is the BEST present to wake up to.
- You try to "talk" and move your little mouth all around. You make the sweetest noises.

- Last week you weighed 12 lbs. 14.5 oz. We'll see how much you weigh on Wednesday at your two month well check. How am I ever going to feed the two of you?

- You survived your first cold and we are praying that you are not going to be sick all of the time.

- You love your swing and will sleep in it for hours. This really helps me out when I'm working.

- You still like to be covered with a blanket when you're hanging out in the swing, bouncy chair or riding in the car. If it falls off, screaming is sure to ensue!

- You love to watch your brother run around and he doesn't even have to try for you to smile at him.

- You tolerate tummy time a little better now and you like to nap on your tummy sometimes during the day (while I watch closely of course).

- You eat about every three hours now, sometimes you will even go almost four, but other times only two. I can't quite figure you out. Just this last week you have started sleeping from about 10 p.m. - 3 a.m. and then until 6:30. After that you sleep until about 9 or 10. You still sleep a lot in the afternoons.

- I give you a bath at 9, you nurse and then you go to sleep listening to Pandora. You love bathtime. You can be screaming at the top of your lungs and will stop the minute you hit the water. You are still sleeping in in the pack n' play in our room and I might not ever let you leave.

- You are in 3-6 months clothes mostly, but I have a feeling those aren't going to last much longer. You already wear 6-9 month pajamas and some 6-9 month clothes. You are in a size 1 diaper.

- You have very sensitive skin and currently have some kind of rash on your tummy and your legs. I think it might just be heat rash. We finally got rid of the diaper rash with the homemade wipe solution, but I am thinking about cloth diapering when I run out of our stock of diapers.

- You don't take a pacifier. You wouldn't take one at first, but I think you might now. However, we have survived this long without it so I don't think I want to start now. 

- You love when I wear you in the new Moby Wrap. I love it too!
- You have not always been an overly content baby, but it is getting better.

- You hold your head up when you're on your tummy and try really hard to roll over. You like to stand up and push with your legs.

- You look A LOT like your brother. You weigh more than he did at this age, but you don't look that much bigger.

You are growing so fast and I'm just trying to soak it all in!
