Nine Months Old

Sweet Hud, I might be in denial about you turning nine months old. That just seems so close to one year old. However, I have not been away from you for more than about four hours a handful of times and I have enjoyed soaking up every single moment with you. You are so sweet and snuggly and make me laugh when I need it most.

 I tried to take some pictures today and this is what happened. It was getting dark, it was cold, you got a shot today and it was not.gonna.happen.

Growth:
Weight: 21 lbs. 6 oz. (50-75%)
Height: 30 in. (95%)
Head circumference: 46 cm. (75%)
Clothes: Some 12 months, but mostly 18 months. Size 4 shoe. Medium cloth diaper, size 4 disposable.

On the Menu:
- I have yet to give you anything you wouldn't eat.
- I started to list your favorite things, but you really like everything.
- You pick food up and feed yourself very well.
- You have started eating table food and thoroughly enjoy it. I think you could eat all day if I would let you.
- You are eating three meals a day.
- You drink out of a sippy cup, but we are going to work a little more on that.

Blurry pouty face. I was trying to operate the camera and make you smile and it was not successful as you can see.

Sleep:
- You still sleep from about 8-7.
- You take two naps. One around 10 and one around 3.

What's happenin'?
- I wouldn't be surprised if you start walking within the next month, but you might not. You are a mellow fellow and you might decide to just take your time.
- You love to walk and push things all over the house.
- You say mama, dada and I think you might be saying no no after I say it to you.
- You understand what the word no means and you give me the funniest look or you get your feelings hurt.
- You wave bye-bye.
- We call you "Gimp" because you tuck one of your legs under when you crawl. It's really funny!
- You are very busy, but mellow at the same time.
- You give kisses ALL the time and are the sweetest little thing.
- I am working on teaching you sign language.

This is the best we could do.

Favorite things: 
- Eating
- Hayden. You watch his every move and try to do what he is doing. You love to chase him all over the house with your gimp crawl. You also race him with your walking toy while he's on his little four wheeler.
- Giving kisses. This is my favorite too!
- Bath time. You and Hayden just play and giggle the whole time.

Not-so-favorite things:
- Still not a fan of the carseat. You are fine once you get in, but actually getting you in there is another story.
- Diaper changes are the death of me and you're not getting any smaller!
- If I walk out of the room, you cry the saddest little cry and then I come rescue you.
