Hayden is scheduled for a tonsillectomy on April 19. His tonsils continue to get larger and are now hindering his ability to eat, sleep and talk. I am on the fence about this. I do not, repeat DO NOT, want him to have another surgery, but I feel like we've tried everything else. I'm hoping and praying that this will really help him.
I know that kids have tonsillectomies all the time. I also know that it is still major surgery and he stopped breathing several times after his last surgery, therefore I am not looking forward to it. He did not tolerate the anesthesia well at all. Prayers would be much appreciated!
He is doing really well on the gluten-free diet and we're going to continue it and see what happens.
This too shall pass.
