Lucky Number THREE

Hayden Reid,

You are three years old, yet I can still remember the day you were born like it was yesterday! I hope I never forget that day.

You have been through many trials and illness in your short little life, but you have handled it like a champ. I wish I could make it all go away, but I hope you know we have done everything we can to help you.

You are so full of life and bring much joy and laughter to our family. You say the silliest things and we have to wonder where in the world you come up with it. You recently decided you don't like the dark and told me there are monsters. I'm not sure where this came from, but my guess is someone at school or church told you. I have also decided that three has to be the funniest and most challenging age. You are very strong willed.

When you have to sit in time out, you come back and tell me that you talked to Jesus about it and you're going to be nice...that is until the next time you have to sit in time out. Ha!

You are learning letters and know all of your numbers, although you skip number three sometimes. You also know shapes and depending on the day you know colors, otherwise everything is green. Your speech has greatly improved and should even more so when you recover from the tonsillectomy. You love going to school to play with your friends, sing and dance, read books and do crafts. Miss Holly said you prayed out loud during chapel the other day and that makes me so proud.You have learned so much in the last year!

You are a good big brother and are very protective of Hudson and I know that you always will be. You don't always want to share with him or like that he messes with your stuff, but I know you love him.

Looking forward to watching you learn and grow another year although that sweet little eight pound baby I brought home three years ago is now turning into a little boy. Hoping for a HEALTHY, happy year.
