Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

We went to our neighborhood Easter egg hunt yesterday morning. We really do love our neighborhood even though some interesting things have been happening here lately! It is usually pretty quiet and we have a lot of fun activities.

Dying eggs the night before. Hudson LOVED this and kept saying "more eggs please!"

We are using leftover monster truck cups to dye the eggs while wearing clothes that don't match and dirty faces. That's how we roll around here.

Hayden really wanted to know more about why we celebrate Easter and I was trying to find a good way to explain it to him so I bought Resurrection Eggs. I was going to attempt to make them, but then decided that we would just support our local book store and take a field trip to buy them. :) My craftiness is not exactly in high gear right now.

The tomb was empty! He really liked these and it helped him visualize the story of the Jesus' death and resurrection.

 Saturday morning treats

If it looks like he's up to something, it's because he IS.

Grumpy boys. They had to get up a little earlier than they wanted to.

Best attempt at a family photo.
