First Week of School Continued

A few more phone pics from first week of school shenanigans.

 School supply shopping
Buying flowers for his teacher. Good thing he's cute.

The first day all three had school.

She marched herself right on in there.

My first cup of coffee alone in 15 months. I am only alone eight hours a WEEK. One must endure this to truly understand it.

Harley Starts Preschool

So it is December 30 and I have blogged twice since August. Oops. While I get to take a small, but welcomed, breath before the crazy starts again, I am going to try to catch up on the last four months.  Here goes nothin'.

Harley goes to "school" two days a week and absolutely loves it. She walked in there like a champ on the first day and cried briefly during the third week, but then that was it.

She loves to play with play-doh, color, draw, play outside and hang out with her little friends.

Here's a few pics of her first day.

It was approximately 147 degrees when we tried to get a few pics while waiting for Hayden to get out of school.

Hayden's Pre-K Graduation

Hayden graduated from pre-k last week and I must admit that I got a little teary. They started marching out to Pomp and Circumstance in their little graduation caps and I had to refrain from a full on meltdown. Lord help me when he graduates from high school.

They put on a show before the graduation and he wasn't overly enthused about that, but he did participate which is an improvement.

Excuse the wonky photos. It is really dark and weird in there and I am not going to take the time to fix it so this is what we get. :)

Love him!

We are so proud of you and I know you are super excited about kindergarten next year!

Easter 2013 - Preschool Egg Hunt

I must start this by saying that Easter is one of my favorite holidays. Easter services at church always make me weepy and I'm reminded that I should always feel the brokenness and thankfulness that I do on that day. He paid my debt and proved that he is who he says he was. It is finished.

The boys kicked off the celebration at preschool on Thursday and then we went to San Angelo for the weekend. I had several sessions on Saturday, but we dyed eggs with all the cousins in between. Only a handful of eggs actually survived the process, but they had fun! We went to church on Sunday with Cody, Kim, Jill and Lane and while I missed our amazing Easter service at the Erwin Center with my church, it was a great service at the church we visited. We spent the rest of the day with family starting at my grandparents and ending at Garrett's dad's.

I'm going to try very hard to narrow down the photos. Here we go.

Hayden's class had to hunt for the eggs with their name on them. I really liked this because it avoided the mad dash to get the most eggs and also helped them with recognizing their name. It was very calm and they were all helping each other. Such a great idea.

My handsome boys.

Rodeo Day

Hayden had rodeo day at school last week. They made stick horses and did some fun activities outside and then we had a picnic. Harley had a great time hanging with the big kids! She thinks Hayden hung the moon.
