So, I had to visit our ER today. I was unloading boxes this morning onto a dolly to set up for a health fair. I went to put a box on the dolly and I'm not sure exactly what happened, but the dolly flipped up and the handle hit me in the neck. It was a heavy box, so there was a lot of force behind it when it hit me. It hurt really bad. I made it through the health fair, but it started hurting worse and I was having difficulty swallowing. I went to the clinic and they informed me that I had to go to employee health since I was doing something work related when it happened. I really didn't care. I just wanted to see a doctor...I didn't mind paying for it. I went to employee health and they sent me to the ER. Long story short, I have a contusion on my neck and it is really stiff and swollen, I have a really bad headache and my throat was swollen almost shut. It is probably going to be really sore for a few days, but I'm going to live. The good news is that the doc told me to eat ice cream and popsicles to get the swelling in my throat to go down, so now I have an excuse!

WEll Im glad your ok, but those dolly's are a killer. Ive done the same thing kind of. When I worked for the Saddle maker guy I was loading horse feed onto one and I leaned over to drop it onto the dolly and it popped me in the head hard enough to split my head open a little bit...I felt like a complete moron at the time, but at least I know Im not alone anymore!!
