I haven't posted in a while and I have sooo much to catch up on. Here is part I.
Part I - New Year's
We spent New Year's Eve at home playing with Hayden and we were asleep by 10:45. Man, we're getting old, but I wouldn't have rather been anywhere else! New Year's Day, Christi watched Hayden for us and we went to eat for a late anniversary/New Year's dinner. And again, we were asleep by 10:15. Friday was not a great day. We had to work Friday morning and then we napped through the treacherous Cotton Bowl.
I think 2008 marks our best year. We had a beautiful, healthy, 8 lb. 1 oz baby boy. We celebrated our second wedding anniversary. Garrett finished his master's degree. We moved to a new town and I was able to find a job. We shared Hayden's first Christmas with our families. We really had a great year! My faith has strengthened ten fold after realizing what a true gift a child is and how precious our time with those we love really is.
I don't know what we did with our time before we had Hayden. Our priorities have changed, our hearts have changed, our lives have changed and we are so thankful we are where we are today. God has blessed us beyond measure. We have been given things we do not deserve, but He loves us and gives anyway.
Wishing you all a fabulous 2009!
