Where to Begin

We have had a busy week!

We left town to head to San Angelo at about noon on Wednesday. We went to my grandparents' house that night for a birthday party for two of my cousins. We missed the magician, but Hayden had fun playing with all of the kids and decorating the Christmas tree. He thinks he is as big as they are! I brought the stuff to make little turkeys out of oreos, mini Reese's and candy corn. I think I had more fun making them than anyone else, but that's okay.

Hayden and I spent the night at my grandparents Wednesday night and I helped my Granny get a few things ready for lunch on Thursday. I made the sweet potatoes and they were actually really good! I don't cook so those of you who know me know that this is a big accomplishment! I also made a couple dips that were quite tasty!

Thanksgiving was delightful as usual! I'm sad that I have to wait another year to eat Granny's dressing. It is always fun to have good food and family together!

Things started going downhill on Friday when Hayden started running fever. We spent most of Friday at my parent's house. I took him to the doctor Saturday morning because I thought he might have the flu, but he has another upper respiratory infection. He was still running fever on Saturday so we spent most of that day at home too. My mom and I also started feeling bad on Saturday with a sore throat, runny nose, etc. As if that weren't enough, Garrett caught the stomach bug on Sunday so we had to spend the night in San Angelo and drive back yesterday. Hopefully we got all of that out of the way and everyone will be healthy for Christmas!

Despite the sickness, I have so much to be thankful for. A loving husband, a sweet little boy, another bundle of joy on the way, a wonderful family and great friends, a house to call our own, a job and these are just to name a few. We are truly blessed!

Blogger is not letting me upload any pictures...grrr...so I will have to add them later.
