The H Man

Hayden is enjoying his new early preschool class and has adjusted well so far. We really miss his old teacher, but he has already learned a lot in his new class. He went to his old room for a couple of hours today and Miss Jordan said when he walked in he went around the table and hugged all of his old friends. I knew he was still sweet somewhere in all that orneriness.

We received a couple of emails from his teacher this week with pictures. It is great to know that Miss Tracie cares about him and keeps us informed.

Dear Lindsey and Garrett,
Hayden is doing well in our classroom. This week he has enjoyed painting, coloring with crayons and chalk (which are out all the time for the children to use). Today he was playing with the wooden blocks and began to count them as he put them on the shelf. At the table he was exploring the matching folder games which he loved to take the pieces off and put them back on again. We are really enjoying having Hayden in class and he is picking up a lot of the things that we do in our classroom.

Dear Lindsey and Garrett,
Hayden is still doing well and I just wanted to share this picture of Hayden using the slot boxes. At first he didn’t know how to use them but after watching some of his new friends he caught on very quickly.

He is also talking more now that he has moved to this class. Some of it we still can't fully understand, but he is trying. He holds his hands out, tilts his head and says "I don't know" or "where'd it go?" It's pretty cute.

I have tried to get a video of him showing his muscles because it is absolutely hilarious, but he is camera shy.

He is holding steady at 30 lbs. and he is about 34 inches tall. We have been to an allergist and are now scheduled to see the ENT again to try and figure out what he has going on and if we can do anything about it. This weather change is not helping him out any either.

We are moving him to a big boy bed soon so he hopefully has time to adjust before the baby arrives. I'm kind of sad about this. I want him to sleep in a crib and be my baby forever. :(

I'll just take it one day at a time and enjoy it while I can.

  1. I refuse to let Maddie move to a big girl bed, lol....She doesnt climb out of her crib so Im just going to hang on to my first "baby" as long as possible.

  2. I'm the same as Marlayna...As long as Addi is not crawling out of the crib, I'm not moving her to a big girl bed! Hope the transition goes well for Hayden! (Let us know how you do it, and what works and what doesn't work!)
